CAPPADOCIA TOUR

Cappadocia, with 300 square kilometres of lunar landscapes, cave churches and ancient underground cities is a highlight of our off-road tour programme. The first Christian communities once hid here from Roman persecution, while now it provides an off-road paradise escape unparalleled anywhere in the world.

We start this very special tour close to the tourist metropolis of Antalya. After arrival via the city’s airport we pass through the rough and rocky landscapes of the 2,500 metre high Taurus mountains. We then cross the Anatolian plateau, where life in many villages appears to have changed little for centuries, to finally reach the fascinating other-worldly landscapes of Cappadocia.

We ride through barren mountain wilderness and the seemingly limitless expanse of the Anatolian plateau, and experience the loneliness of mountain trails and gravel paths where we don’t encounter another vehicle for hours. We come into contact with local people, whose faces reflect the toughness of the country, but whose hearts and hospitality is brimming with warmth. With so many stops in the ubiquitous tea houses, you’ll lose all track of time, and put into perspective your hectic lives at home.

Having arrived safely in Cappadocia, we’ll have enough time to really explore the terrain under our tyres. There are no road closures outside the tourist centre, so we can let off steam for hours, challenging our own riding skills. Equally you may choose to explore the area on foot, which is no less spectacular
in its own way.

We mostly ride on single trails through gigantic alien rock landscapes, through various gorges and basins, such as the Valley of the Swords or  Love Valley (named after the phallus-like rock needles), and get to spend time in the famous cave dwellings and underground cities.

On this tour, both die-hard enduro riders as well as culture-curious hobby riders get their money’s worth. The route profile can be adapted to the group at any time. All in all, a week full of amazing experiences awaits, both riding-related and scenic!
